Life Sciences BC Announces Participants and Mentors for Fourth Annual Investor Readiness Program
Life Sciences BC has unveiled the companies and mentors selected for its 2024 Investor Readiness Program (IRP). The program pairs small and mid-size enterprises (SMEs) in British Columbia's life sciences sector with entrepreneurs-in-residence (EIRs) to help them become investor-ready. The mentors, with their industry expertise and acumen, provide invaluable insight and support to the companies throughout the six-month program. The program culminates in a final pitch session with investors and community stakeholders.
Companies and mentors are carefully matched based on their skillsets, experience, and interests. The selected SMEs for the 2024 IRP include Ascinta Technologies Inc., CNANO, D2Type Health, EyeCareX Technologies, FMRK Diagnostic Technologies Inc., Focal Lines Technologies, mlHealth 360, NovaSense Technology Ltd., Response Biomedical, Salyx Medical Inc., and Tickit Health. The EIR mentors include Nancy Harrison, Malcolm Kendall, Norma Sebestyen, Jason Robertson, Brenda Irwin, Lu Han, David Helliwell, Allison Gaw, and Sam Mercer.
The program, which runs from October to March, offers personalized coaching, educational sessions, goal setting, peer-to-peer feedback, networking opportunities, and group meetings. Applications for the 2025 program will open in spring 2024. The program is supported in part by funding from the National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC IRAP).
